Facing a huge bid for one of its star players, Bayern Munich is adamant that it won’t give up Thomas Muller, who is being pursued by Manchester United.

“It is not Thomas who is causing the fuss, it is his performances. And we can’t do anything about that. [Chief executive] Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is right, he is a player that we cannot put a price on,” Bayern’s sporting director Matthias Sammer told the Guardian.

Reports out of Germany say United has already sent their offer for Muller, who will reportedly earn million pounds ($1.57 million) a month if he transfers to the Red Devils.

Manchester United is looking for another attacking midfielder to pair with veteran Wayne Rooney. United's boss Louis van Gaal is reportedly very high on Muller and aggressively trying to pursue him.

The 25-year-old Muller has been with Bayern Munich his entire career, from youth squads to the senior team. In 198 matches since making his senior debut with Bayern, he has scored 73 goals.

Muller has also represented the German soccer national team since 2004 with 63 appearances for the senior team and 27 goals.
