Pamela Anderson's role as C.J. Parker was iconic on the 1990's TV show "Baywatch." The upcoming movie adaptation of the hit series has found a new Parker to guard the ocean and run in the sand -- Sports Illustrated model Kelly Rohrbach.

According to Variety, Rohrbach will join Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Zac Efron in the film. She'll also star alongside Alexandra Daddario, who will play Summer.

"Baywatch" will be Rohrbach's first major role. The 25-year-old has mostly modeled and has appeared in a few indie movies. She was romantically linked to Leonardo DiCaprio, but according to People is reporting, the two have recently broken up.

In August 2015, Johnson announced on Twitter that Efron would be starring in "Baywatch" alongside him and that the movie will have an "R-rating." The film is expected to lean towards comedy, while also having some action thrown in. During an interview on "Late Night With Seth Meyers," Efron said the movie will be "bad---," but will stay true to the integrity of the original TV show.

"Horrible Bosses" director Seth Gordon will direct the film, with a script from “Friday the 13th” writers Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. "Baywatch” originally ran from 1989-2001 and starred David Hasselhoff, Anderson, Yasmine Bleeth, Carmen Electra and David Chokachi. The show was known for it's slow-motion beach running, which will likely be in the reboot.

In October 2015, Anderson told E! Online she wasn't too excited about that show being turned into a movie and wasn't sure the flick would actually be made after it was rumored for years. She said she was "irreplaceable" as C.J. and that "no one" could play her.

"It was charming on television and when you make a TV show [into] a movie I think it loses some of its charm," Anderson said.

No official release date has been announced yet for "Baywatch."
