QCT is a developer and supplier of CDMA-based integrated circuits and system software for wireless voice and data communications, multimedia functions and global positioning system products. QTL grants licenses to use portions of its intellectual property portfolio. The QWI segment sells equipment, software and provides services to wireless operators in delivering multimedia content. QSI manages its strategic investment activities to promote the worldwide adoption of CDMA-based products and services.
The company's products are sold through direct sales force, partnerships and distributors in the United States, Europe, the Middle East, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, Japan, South Korea, Mexico and other countries. Qualcomm is included in the S&P 100 Index, the S&P 500 Index and is a 2008 FORTUNE 500Â® company.
