The Beckhams are all excited about expanding their brood, hoping that this time they would be lucky to be blessed with a girl after three boys.

Victoria and David Beckham used the micro-blogging site, Twitter to announce the baby news. Their representative also confirmed the news to People magazine, stating, “David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to confirm they are expecting their fourth child in the summer.

“Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are very excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister, the rep added.

It seems the whole world is also as excited and is anxious to know the sex of the child.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, the 36-year-old Victoria had revealed her wish to expand her family and hoped for a girl.

“Maybe one day another baby, but at this stage I think the chances of a girl are quite slim,” she said.

However, to welcome the new arrival to the family, be in girl or a boy, the couple have decided to move to Britain on the desire of the former Spice Girl.

“She’d love a little girl but would be delighted with a boy, too. Victoria was adamant she wanted to give birth in Britain,” a source told The Daily Mirror.

The couple have a mansion in Hertfordshire and it is rumoured that they plan to spend more time in UK and have even enrolled their three children, Brooklyn 11, Romeo 8, and Cruz 5 in school there. “It’s her home and she didn’t want to be away from her family,” the source told the newspaper.

The couple are planning a sixteen week scan which will reveal the sex of the child.

David Beckham currently plays for LA Galaxy and the couple is based in Los Angeles. It is reported that they are planning to buy a bigger house in California. Their shift to England is possibly temporary till the arrival of the new baby.

The fourth Beckham baby will be the 10th Spice baby . Emma Baby Spice announced in November that she was expecting her second baby.

Meanwhile, a few of Victoria’s former bandmates took to Twitter to congratulate her on being pregnant with the couple’s fourth child.
