Ben Affleck is taking a break from Los Angeles to spend time with his estranged wife Jennifer Garner and their three children in Atlanta. The pair announced plans to go their separate ways in a statement issued to TMZ on June 30. In the statement both actors said they were going “forward with love and friendship” and hoped their divorce would be amicable.

According to People magazine Affleck was spotted flying to Atlanta to be with his family. Garner and their three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel, are currently living there while she films “Miracles from Heaven.” E! News reports Affleck will be living on the $2 million rental property Garner procured, but not in the same house. Instead he plans to crash in a guest house.

These reports support previous claims that Affleck and Garner planned to continue living together despite their separation. Similarly to their current living arrangement, Affleck will move from the L.A. home they once shared into a guest house on the same property. The couple reportedly hopes living together will make their separation easier on their kids, who are their main focus right now.

Prior to their down South reunion the family enjoyed a vacation in the Bahamas. Garner and Affleck are said to have gotten the kids out of L.A. shortly after school let out for the summer. They chose the Bahamas because it is both secluded and “special” to their family as they have been going there together for many years. Unfortunately Affleck was forced to cut his stay in the Bahamas short by a few days as he was scheduled to appear at Comic-Con in San Diego, California, alongside the cast of “Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.”

Affleck and Garner have been married for 10 years. The couple met in 2003 on the set of “Daredevil,” when Affleck was engaged to pop star Jennifer Lopez. He and Garner began dating seven months after he and Lopez ended their engagement. They were married two years later in June 2005. Their June 30 divorce announcement came just one day before their 10th anniversary. According to reports they had been separated for nearly 10 months at the time of the announcement.
