Best Buy Co Inc said on Wednesday that international chief executive Robert Willett plans to retire at the end of the year and the electronics retailer does not plan to name a successor.

The company said CEO Brian Dunn is working with Willett, 63, on a smooth transition.

Best Buy said it is confident in the abilities of the local leaders and teams in countries where it operates. The company said it is still committed to its global growth strategy, even though it will no longer have an international CEO.
