Singer Beyoncé Knowles and rap artist Jay-Z obtained a marriage license in Scarsdale, New York, People magazine reported on Wednesday.

According to People, a source informed the publisher that the couple, who has dated since 2002, proceeded with the license this morning. Both could formalize a marriage within a period of 60 days while the marriage license is valid.

No comment said the representative of Knowles according to People. Jay-Z - whose real name is Sean Carter - could not be reached for comment.

So far, no public announcements of a wedding have been made by the couple.
