Pop star Beyonce will perform at the Michael Jackson tribute concert via satellite, despite her pregnancy. The 29-year-old singer made the announcement of her pregnancy on Sunday at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The Jackson tribute concert will take place on Oct. 8 in the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. At the time of the concert, Beyonce is likely to enter her fourth month of pregnancy, TMZ reported.
The news of Beyonce's pregnancy came as a surprise to her fans because she and Jay-Z are known to be private about their personal lives and had repeatedly ignored and denied such speculation.
Reps for the concert confirmed to TMZ that Beyonce is still slated to sing via satellite. They also said that the pregnancy will not affect her performance. Beyonce will perform to one of her favorite Jackson 5 songs at the concert.
“[The performance] will be shown at the concert on October 8th! A lifelong Michael fan, Beyonce really wanted to be involved in this tribute concert. Due to scheduling issues she can't be there in person, but this performance is not to be missed!” the concert organizer announced.
