In one of the many memorable acts of the MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) Sunday night, an announcement from hip-hop's power couple — Beyoncé and Jay-Z — confirmed any doubts that the two would be adding one more to their family.

At the beginning of her joyful performance Beyoncé emerged from the darkness, saying, Tonight I want you to stand up on your feet. I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me! MTV News reports.

Beyoncé, who announced her pregnancy on the red carpet during the pre-show, chose to sing one of her up-beat songs off her latest album, 4.

The songstress is slated to perform with her baby bump once again at an Oct. 8 Michael Jackson Tribute Concert, where the mom-to-be plans to burst into soulful song and dance via satellite for the King of Pop's tribute show.

TMZ reported that the singer says her pregnancy will not affect her performance.

Beyoncé is reportedly close to the four-month mark in her pregnancy. If so, she'll be five months pregnant by the time she performs her favorite Jackson 5 song for the concert.

On Sunday, when the time came for her VMA performance, all most likely wondered if she could hit her regular, shocking dance moves while pregnant, but once she hit the stage her dance steps were cute, and yet pregnancy-approved.

The singer and her all-female backup singers' outfits mimicked clothing from the1991 movie, The Five Heartbeats, which depicted legendary R&B singing group The Temptations.

I would be a mom right now, for sure, she told MTV, in response to a question from fans. I love kids, and I would probably have done this a lot sooner.

Married to hip-hop superstar Jay-Z for three years, the star has said time and time again that she planned on having a baby by the time she was 30, and she turns 30 on Sunday, Sept. 4.

Her husband beamed at the end of her performance while his Watch the Throne collaborator and close friend Kanye West congratulated him.
