Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” is all about forgiveness and well, making lemonade out of lemons. It’s no secret that the pop star and her father, Mathew Knowles, had a strained relationship after she fired him as her manager in 2011, but it seems they are trying to put the past behind them.

Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, posted an Instagram photo Thursday showing Beyoncé happily posing with Mathew during the Houston stop of her Formation World Tour earlier this month. Tina captioned the photo, “Houston Concert proud dad!!” She also posted a picture of the 64-year-old posing with his daughter Solange Knowles and her son, Julez.

Last month, rumors surfaced that Beyoncé was referring to her father’s infidelity on the song “Daddy Lessons,” from her album “Lemonade.” Mathew responded to the speculation, saying on Sirius XM’s “Make It Plain” that he wasn’t sure what his daughter was singing about. “There’s no way we can get into the mind of Beyoncé,” he said (via “Entertainment Tonight”). “Only Beyoncé can answer specifically who she was talking to … I would rather not get into speculation. My answer is I don’t know.”

He added, “I am so proud of Beyoncé … Everybody’s talking about it. Everybody’s tweeting about it. I am so proud.”

Tina also agrees with her ex-husband that Beyoncé’s cryptic lyrics should be left up to personal interpretation. “It could be about anyone’s marriage,” she explained to ABC13 Houston. “I think that everybody at one time or another has been betrayed and lied to, and it’s about the pain — and it’s about the healing process — and it’s about how do you get past that and move on.”
