Big Bang Theory
Amy (Mayim Bialik) will use a dating app to try to find a new boyfriend in episode 6 of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. CBS

Fans holding their breath until Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy (Mayim Bialik) get back together in "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 may want to stop. In episode 5, Sheldon took a step towards moving on from the relationship when he asked two women out, albeit unsuccessfully, in a bar after the guys' fencing lesson. Now it is Amy's turn to put herself back out there. What will happen in episode 6, "The Helium Insufficiency"?

According to the synopsis for the new episode, Amy will be getting back into the dating game with some help from Penny (Kaley Cuoco), Bernadette (Melissa Rauch), and Tinder! Well, not exactly, but the gang will suggest Amy try out a new mobile dating app in the hopes of finding a new boyfriend. That adventure is sure to have hilarious results, but no matter what happens, Sheldon will not be happy to hear that Amy is back on the dating scene. Fans will remember how relieved he was to find out that she had turned down Barry Kripke (John Ross Bowie) in episode 5.

However, Sheldon may have bigger fish to fry in episode 6. The synopsis also reveals that he and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) suspect someone is trying to steal their idea for Superfluid Helium. Who is the devious criminal? The synopsis does not out the thief, but with Stephen Merchant ("The Office," "Hello Ladies") guest starring as a mystery man named Dave, fans might have a clue.

Will Amy find a new boyfriend? Will Sheldon and Leonard lose their idea? Fans will have to wait to find out. "The Big Bang Theory" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
