"The Big Bang Theory" is moving to a new night for the rest of Season 9 -- the CBS sitcom is headed to Thursdays to make room for "Supergirl." Fans will want to make sure to take note because they are not going to want to miss episode 7, which promises to be one of the most eventful episodes yet as Sheldon (Jim Parsons) reaches a breaking point in his split from Amy (Mayim Bialik). What will happen in "The Spock Resonance"?

According to the synopsis for the new episode, Sheldon struggles to suppress his emotions about his recent breakup while being interviewed for a documentary about Spock from “Star Trek." There may be a good reason for that. In episode 6, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) pushed Amy to try a new dating app, basically Tinder, to get back in the dating game. It turned out she did not need the app, she had already lined up a new date with a mystery man named Dave, played by guest star Stephen Merchant. Seeing Amy with another man might be just too much for Sheldon to take.

Watch Amy try out a dating app in a clip from episode 6 below:

All the pressure might force Sheldon to play his hand, that is, reveal that he had planned to propose to Amy. The synopsis reveals that Penny and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) discover that Sheldon had purchased an engagement ring for Amy in episode 7. Could that news sway Amy's heart?

Meanwhile, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette butt heads over remodeling his childhood home. He wants things to remain as they are, while she wants to update the house.

Will Amy find out about Sheldon's ring? Or will she be too wrapped up in Dave to care? Fans will have to wait -- a few extra days for that matter -- to find out. "The Big Bang Theory" returns Thursday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
