Bill Cosby Responds To Heckling In Ontario, Says 'I'm Far From Finished,' After Being Called 'A Rapist'

Bill Cosby responded to a heckler at his show on Thursday night in London, Ontario, by stating that he is “far from finished,” after a man called him “a rapist.” More than 15 women have come forward alleging that they were either sexually assaulted or raped by Cosby decades ago.

Cosby’s second show in the Canadian city, which was also his second appearance since the sexual assault allegations resurfaced in November, was held at the Budweiser Gardens. At the end of the 90-minute show, the man yelled at Cosby calling him a rapist, following which he was arrested. Before the man was taken away, he added: “I'm getting kicked out because you're a rapist."

Cosby said, in a statement, issued by his publicist: “One outburst but over 2600 loyal, patient and courageous fans enjoyed the most wonderful medicine that exist for human-kind." He also thanked the fans as well as the event organizers for their “honor and support,” according to The Associated Press.

Fans who attended the show had been reportedly warned against heckling before the event began. "Patrons have a right to enjoy tonight’s performance" and “disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and will result in removal, possible legal action and/or banning from the venue,” the warning read.

Cosby's show at the Centre In The Square theater in Kitchener, Ontario, on Wednesday night witnessed protests outside the venue where some shouted “shame on you” at ticket holders, while others carried signs reading “rape is no joke.”

Many of the 77-year-old comedian's shows and appearances have been cancelled following the sexual assault allegations, but he is scheduled to make an appearance at the Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario, on Friday.
