Upset over the political developments in the state which may bring down the provincial government headed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, the ruling coalition hit the roads of Bangalore on Tuesday morning protesting the governor's rommmendation to sack the state government.

The BJP workers have blocked the roads to hold protests while the traffic police made diversions to arterial roads which were seen moving slowly.

The Congress Party in Karnataka, meanwhile, expressed hope that the current BJP government would be dismissed and President's rule will be imposed in the state to avoid disruption in the functioning of the government agencies with the ruling party itself resorting violent means of protests.
