Black Friday Camera Deals: The Best Discounts From Best Buy, Target, Amazon, B&H, Canon, Walmart, Adobe And More

For photographers, videographers and filmmakers, Black Friday can either be a nightmare or a blessing hidden amid the chaos of shoppers looking for a great deal.

Want to buy lenses, camera bodies, memory cards? There are myriad deals both in-store and online to take advantage of. We’ve rounded up some of the best Black Friday photo and video gear deals at Best Buy, Amazon, Target and other camera and electronics retailers below.

Best Buy
The electronics retail giant Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) will open at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, offering shoppers one of the earliest opportunities to get their hands on some photo and video gear at bargain prices. Among the extensive list of items worth considering is the GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition for $249.99 (after $80 discount) and 2TB Western Digital My Passport USB 3.0 portable hard drive for $99.99.

For amateurs looking to jump into DSLR photography, Best Buy is offering the Canon EOS Rebel T3 bundled with a camera bag, 75-300mm lens and 16GB memory card for $449.96 (a $200 savings). For Nikon fans, a similar deal is available for the Nikon D3200 DSLR, which includes a 55-200mm lens along with camera bag and 16GB memory card for $499.99. Point and shoots are also available at steep discounts, but with the immensely improved quality of mobile phone cameras, they are hardly essentials in today’s photo market.

Black Friday is also a great time to stock up on SD cards. Several Sandisk Ultra SD cards are on sale, including a 16GB Ultra SDHC card for $9.99, 32GB for $17.99 and 64GB for $34.99, which is a steal for memory cards in general.

Amazon
Online shopping is always a great way to avoid fighting with other shoppers over electronics deals on Black Friday. For photo and video deals, Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) is offering a plethora of options, including DSLRs at every price point. For photographers and videographers looking to go mirrorless, the Panasonic Lumix GH3K is available for $898 (regularly retailing around $1,099) for the camera body only. A Canon EOS 70D DSLR body can also be had for $1049.99 (a $50 savings).

On the professional audio side, the Audio-Technica ATR-6550 video camera condenser microphone can be had for the bargain price of $56.24.

Target
Target (NYSE:TGT) isn’t the ideal place for camera gear, but amateurs will be able to get their hands on a 2-lens Nikon D3200 DSLR kit for only $499.99 on Black Friday.

Walmart
Walmart (NYSE:WMT) joins the growing number of stores open on Thanksgiving Day at 6 p.m. Grab a Canon T3 DSLR bundle for only $449, GoPro Hero 3 for $199, Nikon D5100 bundle for $499, or a Sony 16GB SDHC high-speed memory card for $9.88.

Adobe
While Adobe (NASDAQ:ADBE) isn’t offering any camera deals per se, photographers looking to obtain a subscription license for Adobe Photoshop can pick up a Photoshop CC and Lightroom 5 for 50 percent off at $9.99 a month until Dec. 2.

B&H
The New York-based camera superstore has several deals available in-store and online, starting on Thanksgiving Day at 10 a.m. However, deals are also ongoing all week, most notably for the Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens for $314 and a Manfrotto camera backpack for $64.99. For Nikon lovers, several bundles and deals are available starting on Black Friday with discounts of up to $300.

Adorama
For photographers and filmmakers, the professional-level Canon EOS 7D (refurbished body only) can be had now for $919, a steal for such a versatile photo/video DSLR.

Canon
For Canon (NYSE:CAJ) photographers, several DSLRs are discounted by $500, including an EOS 60D with EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM for $1,049.98. Camera bodies alone are available at significant discounts as well. The EOS 60D body is priced at $699.99 (a $200 savings). If you’re willing to go for a refurbished camera body, t5he EOS 7D is available at a steal for $959.36, a 20 percent discount.
