Edwina Finley has landed a recurring role in the CW’s upcoming superhero series “Black Lightning.”

According to Deadline, Findley will play Tori, the beautiful and cunning younger sister to Tobias Whale (Marvin “Krondon” Jones III). While people find her charming, Tori can be just as deadly as Tobias.

Based on the DC character created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden, “Black Lightning” follows the story of retired superhero Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), who is forced to return to his vigilante ways when his older daughter Anissa (Nafessa Williams) becomes hell-bent on justice, and his younger daughter Jennifer (China Anne McClain) is being recruited by Tobias’ gang, The 100.

Shortly after Finley’s casting was announced, Krondon took to Twitter to welcome her to the cast. Findley thanked Krondon and revealed that she’s “excited” to join the family.

In a separate Instagram post, Findley also sent love to the show’s “brilliant” creators Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil.

“Edwina is a fantastic talent, and I am so excited she is joining us,” Akil said in a statement to Deadline.

Findley, who is repped by APA and Silver Lining Entertainment, currently plays the series regular role of Kelly on Tyler Perry’s OWN series “If Loving You is Wrong.” Findley also recurs as pickaxe-wielding survivor Diana in Season 3 of AMC’s “Fear the Walking Dead.” Her other TV credits include HBO’s “The Wire” and “Treme,” as well as Fox’s “Shots Fired” and ABC’s “Brothers & Sisters.”

On the film side, Findley appeared in the comedy “Get Hard,” horror flick “Insidious: Chapter 2” and indie movie “Free in Deed,” which won Best Film in the Horizon’s category at the Venice Film Festival.

Aside from Findley Kordon, McClaine, Cress Williams and Nafessa Williams, “Black Lightning” also stars Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce, James Remar as Peter Gambi, Damon Gupton as Henderson, Kyanna Simone Simpson as Kiesha and Jill Scott as DC villain Lady Eve.

Brock Akil and Akil executive produce the series with Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter. Akil directed the pilot from the script he co-wrote with Brock Akil.

“Black Lightning” is set to premiere in 2018 on The CW.
