Research in Motion on Monday unveiled its BlackBerry Desktop Software for Apple computers.

It will release its BlackBerry Desktop Software to Mac OS X users in September with synchronized iTunes playlist, contacts, tasks and appointments. It has Backup and restores features and it also enables to install and remove new software and games to its handsets.

However, the company said on its blogs that new BlackBerry owners can still download and use PocketMac for BlackBerry.
