While the Canadian tech giant BlackBerry is working on two new Android handsets earmarked for 2016, the Priv is now available on a massively discounted price.

EBay has listed the 32GB variant of the BlackBerry Priv for just $379.99. BlackBerry’s official store, on the other hand, has listed the same device for $649. With this deal, buyers can save a whopping $269.01 or get about 42 percent off.

The discounted, GSM factory unlocked Priv is tied to the model number STV100-1 and it works under AT&T network. Only the black variant is now available on discount and this device supports 4G LTE, among other connectivity options. EBay is also offering factory warranty upon purchasing this device.

As of today, 1,069 units of this discounted BlackBerry Priv units have been sold via this limited period offer. The seller Quality Cellz has apparently amassed 99.1 percent positive rating on eBay. As always, eBay offers free shipping service within the U.S.

Speaking of key specifications, the BlackBerry Priv carries a 5.4-inch display, complemented by 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Apart from the slider QWERTY keyboard, this device also flaunts dual-curved-side display.

The Priv runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box. Nevertheless, it is upgradable to the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Under the hood, it comes powered by a hexa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 808) SoC and backed by a solid 3GB of RAM. Other than the built-in 32GB storage space, Priv also supports microSD card for further expansion. Plus, there is a phenomenal 18-megapixel primary camera unit, in addition to a modest 2-megapixel snapper for selfies at the front.

BlackBerry never fails to impress in the battery department and the Priv comes housed with a huge Li-Ion 3,410 mAh non-removable battery cell. This unit is capable of providing up to 24 hours of talk time and about 420 hours of stand-by time.
