Very recently, BlackBerry cut the price of its slider QWERTY keyboard clad Priv by $50 permanently. But now, the prominent third-party e-retailer “New Egg” has cut the price of this retro-styled handset to an unbelievable $399.99.

New Egg said the original price of the BlackBerry Priv, tied to the model number STV100-1, is $799.99. Therefore, with this deal, buyers can save $400 or 50 percent.

The BlackBerry Priv comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS onboard. Nevertheless, the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware has already started rolling out to this handset in phases.

As far as the specifications go, Priv by BlackBerry comes with a 5.4-inch display, complemented by 1,440 x 2,560 pixels resolution and Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Design-wise, this smartphone comes with a slider keyboard along with dual-curved-side display, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge.

Under the hood, this handset comes powered by a hexa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 808) SoC and backed by a solid 3 GB of RAM. Apart from the 32 GB built-in storage space, the Priv also supports microSD card to facilitate expansion of up to 128 GB.

Speaking of camera configuration, the BlackBerry Priv sports an 18-megapixel rear-facing sensor, in addition to a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter.

Furthermore, the handset houses a big Li-Ion 3,410 mAh non-removable battery cell to keep the lights on. This cell will apparently be able to provide up to nearly 24 hours of talk time and roughly 422 hours of stand-by time.
