Verizon Wireless is now accepting preorders for the BlackBerry Q10, and says the smartphone will ship by June 6. The device is available in black or white and costs $599.99, or $199.99 with a new two-year contract or extension. Visit the preorder page by clicking here.

The Verizon site promises the Blackberry Q10 will “Will ship By 6/6,” so perhaps a lucky few will receive their QWERTY keyboard running BlackBerry’s BB10 operating system. Customers who order online will receive free shipping.

The 4G LTE BlackBerry Q10 runs on a dual-core 1.5 GHz processor from Qualcomm and features a 3.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen with 720 x 720 resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage and a microSD slot for expandable storage. BlackBerry touts its new physical QWERTY keyboard as larger and more ergonomic than previous incarnations.

IBTimes reported in March that the touchscreen Z10 was not quite the blockbuster that BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins had hoped for, perhaps consumers were holding back for a device with a physical keyboard. BlackBerry recently announced that they would be releasing a cross-platform version of the popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) service that would allow users to communicate between BB10, Android and iOS sometime this summer.
