Users of Research in Motions (RIM) Blackberry mobile phone can now receive text transcripts of voice-mails on their devices as a 3rd party company rolls out new software for the device.

SpinVox launched a plug-in for the smart phone on Wednesday for a subscription of £5 per year ($9.91).

On receiving the converted text version of the voicemail, users have the option to reply by email, in addition to voice or SMS. The emails link up to the user's address book so the caller's name is displayed.
