Blacklist
A past mistake might come back to haunt Liz (Megan Boone) in the midseason premiere of "The Blacklist." NBC

Fans are eagerly awaiting the post-Super Bowl return of “The Blacklist” on Feb. 1, but information has already been leaking out about the midseason premiere of the NBC series’ second season. Earlier this month fans got the scoop on Red’s (James Spader) situation in the much-anticipated episode, but it turns out Liz (Megan Boone) might be in even more trouble.

Fans will remember that in the fall finale, a worker at the dock where Liz was keeping Tom (Ryan Eggold) prisoner stumbled upon her little hideout. After she initially showed her badge and talked the man into leaving the scene, he wandered back later in the episode and Tom was able to grab him. Liz returned to the scene in time to see her husband kill the man in the hopes that it would force Liz to set him free before a search party came looking for the dead dock worker.

According to Entertainment Weekly, that incident might come back to haunt Liz. In the midseason premiere the dock worker’s widow will file a missing persons report and Liz’s name will come up in the investigation. Will she be able to talk herself out of the mess she left?

As for Red, the criminal mastermind will be kidnapped when the show returns. But his capture might just be part of his plan to get closer to his new enemy – a brand-new villain played by Ron Perlman of “Sons of Anarchy.”

“The Blacklist” will return on Feb. 1, 2015, immediately following the Super Bowl on NBC. The show will then assume a new time slot on Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST. Will Liz face consequences for the dock worker’s death? Plus, will Tom reappear after his shocking meeting with Red at the end of the fall finale? Fans will have to wait until February to find out.
