Well, with episode 10 of "The Blacklist" Season 3 titled "The Director: Conclusion," there was little doubt that Thursday's episode 9 premiere, "The Director," was going to end on a cliffhanger. So, while Red (James Spader), with the help of Aram (Amir Arison), may have kept Liz (Megan Boone) out of the Cabal's hands for now, she is still a long way from clearing her name.
According to the synopsis for episode 10, though the corrupt CIA Director (David Straithairn) may have been outwitted in episode 9, he is not giving up on his quest to kill Liz before she can see her day in court. Luckily, Red has a plan! In episode 9, Samar (Mozhan Marno) helped Red retrieve that "special package" the FBI confiscated in the winter finale. It turns out the case contained a way to print currency that Red traded to Venezuela for a favor. What favor? Fans were left in the dark, but it seems Aram, Samar, Tom (Ryan Eggold), Cooper (Harry Lennix) and Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff) will all be in on Red's scheme to save Liz.
In the promo for the episode, Red refers to "a specific attack" his team must execute and, from the look of things, it will be a little more complicated than the task force's usual mission. The Cabal, on the other hand, has a much simpler agenda — shoot Liz!
"They are going to kill me ... today," warns Liz.
Not if Ressler has anything to say about it. In a scene from the teaser the FBI agent leaps to cover Liz after spotting an armed gunman approaching Liz's escort.

Will Red be able to clear Liz's name before it is too late? Fans will have to wait to find out. "The Blacklist" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
