After a stressful couple of episodes, Liz (Megan Boone) and Tom (Ryan Eggold) finally seem to be in a good place on NBC's "The Blacklist." Liz has decided to keep her baby, and Red (James Spader) has promised her that she will eventually get the quiet life she is searching for. However, they'll be back hunting down criminals in episode 16, titled "The Caretaker."
According to the synopsis, while Tom and Liz made peace with one another at the end of episode 15, Tom is expected to "make a risky decision" in episode 16. Will this decision involve Tom looking for Gina Zanetakos (Margarita Levieva) to get his share of the money from the jewelry heist? And will it make Liz rethink the choice to keep the baby?
As Tom takes a risk, Red and Liz will be searching for a criminal known as The Caretaker after a State Department official is killed in Beijing. The Caretaker is described as "a shadowy keeper who maintains a safety-deposit vault for criminals." In the promo video for episode 16, The Caretaker apparently hides his information in a cemetery and he'll start to leak information about criminals, including something from Red's past.
That's not Red's only problem. When episode 15 came to a close, Red received a painting from Rostova of Liz standing by a gravestone with "Reddington" on it. It appears as though Liz's mother is out for Red, and Liz might actually get the answers she's been looking for in the near future. The promo video shows Liz getting upset with Red after she learns new information about him from what The Caretaker releases.
"Some things can't be forgiven," Liz says to Red before she walks away from him.
Red told Liz that her mother wasn't able to handle seeing her daughter shoot her husband years ago. He said Katerina Rostova was last seen walking into the ocean, but it was unclear if she was alive or dead. It looks like this story was a lie and Liz might discover this in episode 16.
