BlackRock Inc and Ameriprise Financial Inc may buy pieces of Bank of America Corp's Columbia Management, Pensions & Investments reported, citing unnamed sources.

BlackRock may buy Columbia's money market assets, while Ameriprise would take the long-term equity and fixed income business, P&I reported on its web site on Thursday.

A deal could be finalized over the next few days, it said.

BlackRock, Bank of America and Ameriprise declined to comment, P&I said.
