The Illinois House of Representatives impeached Gov. Rod Blagojevich on Friday 114-1. After the decision, he sustained that he is not guilty of any criminal wrongdoing.

The House's action was, of course, not a surprise, he told reporters Friday saying it was expected as a part of dynamics process since he was reelected in 2006.

Blagojevich however said he was willing to fight every step of the way for the people that hired him.

I am confident that at the end of the day, I will be properly exonerated, he added.

Blagojevich was arrested on December 9 after abuse of power allegations, including a charge that he wanted to sell President-elect Barack Obama's seat in the Senate.
