NBC TV series “Blindspot” aired a relatively light episode this week in which Rich Dotcom returned. He was being pursued by an expert assassin. Although Jane Doe and FBI Agent Kurt Weller finally got rid of the killer, Jane’s brother Roman learned that his sister is actually loyal to the FBI, not to Sandstorm or Sheppard.

What will happen on the show next week?

In “Blindspot” Season 2, episode 8, titled “Do Not Slack, The Featherweight Wins,” Kurt (Sullivan Stapleton) and Jane (Jaimie Alexander) go undercover on a mission. Shockingly, during the operation, they both go missing. This leaves the rest of the team with no choice but to interrogate two criminals who may know where to find them.

However, the promo of the upcoming episode reveals that Jane ultimately returns to the FBI. Weller is still missing.

The official synopsis of episode 8 states that Assistant U.S. Attorney Matthew Weitz (Aaron Abrams), who was once Tasha Zapta’s (Audrey Esparza) boyfriend, will be back.

Fortunately, NSA Agent Nas Kamal (Archie Punjabi), Kurt’s new lover, has an idea to get him back. But it’s not pretty and certainly not legal. Still, the team is a family and they will do whatever they can to get him back.

Given the fact that Sandstorm has been watching Weller for almost 20 years and that he has heard Sheppard’s voice before, it could be that a Sandstorm operative kidnapped him. Roman recently learned that Jane isn’t on their side so he could very well plan to abduct the FBI Agent.

Hopefully, the next episode of “Blindspot” will also show the repercussions of Zapata stealing a knife from the evidence room. She assumed that the knife belonged to Reade (Rob Brown) but it was actually Freddy’s. Freddy murdered Coach Jones.

Catch “Blindspot” Season 2, episode 8 on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 8 p.m. EDT on NBC.
