“Blindspot” Season 2 cast member Ashley Johnson’s character Patterson will take center stage in the upcoming episodes of the NBC series.

Just recently, Patterson proved how dedicated she is to Kurt Weller’s (Sullivan Stapleton) team. She not only helped Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) with her new mission, but she was also on board with the team’s plan to reunite with the lead character. On the show’s official Twitter account, one fan noted how Patterson is becoming her team’s hero in Season 2. The handlers of the account replied to the tweet, acknowledging that Patterson is indeed the team’s anchor.

Meanwhile, the upcoming third episode of “Blindspot” Season 2 will see Jane picking a side between Kurt and his team or her stepmother and brother, according to Cartermatt. In “Hero Fear Imminent Rot,” Jane will help Kurt stop a series of escalating bombings in the Big Apple. While doing so, Kurt will pull Jane out of her undercover work because he’s worried that she could get killed.

On the other hand, Jane’s stepmom Shepherd (Michelle Hurd) and brother Roman (Luke Mitchell) will ask the former to prove that she’s still one of them. In the teaser released by NBC, Jane asked what kind of test she would have to complete. Shepherd replied that she has to assassinate someone. The next scene showed Roman giving Jane a gun that she will be using to kill at least one person. “Do it,” he urges her.

The official synopsis for “Hero Fear Imminent Rot” released by NBC read, “Weller and the team must race the clock to stop a series of escalating New York City bombings, while Jane is forced to go on an assassination mission to prove her loyalty… or suffer the consequences.”

“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 3 will air on NBC on Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET.
