Angelina Jolie recently told press she lost
the Best Supporting Actress Oscar trophy she won in 1999 for her role in Girl
Interrupted.
A source tells OK Magazine, "Angie
doesn't care about awards. Sure, it's a great honor to win an Oscar, but Angie
thinks herself as more of a humanitarian and mother than an actor."
Jolie had reportedly given the Oscar to her
mother Bertrand after she won. Later, her mom passed away in January 2007.
Jolie recovered it from the Beverly Hills, California hotel her mother lived
in, but it has since gone missing, according to OK Magazine.
Now Matt Damon also may not know where his
Oscar is for Good Will Hunting in 1997. He shared the "Best Writing,
Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen" with his best friend and
co-writer, Ben Affleck.

Damon told the London Daily Express:
"I know it ended up at my apartment in New York, but, unfortunately, we
had a flood when one of the sprinklers went off when my wife and I were out of
town and that was the last I saw of it."
He added that he hopes to find the Oscar
safe and sound in storage.
That same year, Matt Damon was nominated
for Best Actor in a leading role, which instead went to Jack Nicholson for his
role in As Good as it Gets.
