The $650 Ford Taurus: A Cash-Strapped Classic

Forget the Tata Nano--the $2,500 car aimed at the developing world--or even the cheapest models in the U.S. market, the $9,970 Hyundai Accent and $9,990 Nissan Versa.
If you're on a shoestring budget, a used car like the 1993 Ford Taurus might be the only option.
Leave it to the sometimes-funny, always-ridiculous folks at The Onion to give the '93 Taurus the big auto-show intro it deserves.
This "car for the modern age" comes with almost everything you'd ever need (Primus tape included) in a vehicle. Well...perhaps only if you were a Seth Rogen character.
For the rest on this "innovative concept vehicle that fits the needs of all Americans," and some laughs, you should watch the video below. Major-product show rollout speeches tend to be a bit formulaic, and they nailed it.
Then, even if a new car isn't in the cards this year, you still might want to check out our coverage of the 2010 Ford Taurus, including a gallery of images, related posts, a full review, and our editors' Bottom Line.
