Jonas Brothers 3D movie hits theaters, band making surprising appearances
'Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience' hits theaters this weekend. The trio pop sensations Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas are making surprising appearances at random movie theaters across the country.
Â
The Jonas Brothers last appeared at the Palisades Mall in Nyack, New York on Saturday during the screening of the 3D movie at 10:30 a.m. Fans had gone crazy whenever the brothers come for 1 minute on stage right before the movie begins, reports say.
Â
"[the movement] Its going coast to coast this weekend surprising fans who really have no clue," said Nick Jonas, the youngest member of the trio. "You have to be on the theater if you want to see us," he added during an interview with ABC's Good Morning America aired from an "unknown" location on Saturday.
Â
The 3D "rockumentary" filmed during the band's "Burnin up" tour in 2008 has gained compliments from critics for been efficient in giving "die-hard" fans an enjoyable moment behind cameras with their stars.
Â
But other critics think the film shows little about who the Jonas Brothers really are, lacks of a "comedy sparkle" or falls into pandering and contempt.
Â
The movie has so far brought an estimated of $4.3 million on its opening day, according to Boxofficemojo.com, a box office tracker. It is G-rated and showing in 1,450 screens.
