Delete 10 Facebook friends, get free Whopper

comments 2
Marketing guru's at Burger King have come up with an application for Facebook where users can sacrifice friends for a free Whopper.

The app requires you to chose 10 of your friends to delete. Each time you do it, you'll see a picture of your friend going up in flames. The activity is also reported to all of your other friends.

"Now is the time to put your fair-weather Web friendships to the test," the Whopper Sacrifice site explains. "Install Whopper Sacrifice on your Facebook profile, and we'll reward you with a free flame-broiled Whopper when you sacrifice ten of your friends.

After doing 10  friends are deleted, the company will send you a coupon for a free Whooper.

The app is the next step in a run of successful marketing schemes from the burger joint, like the "Whopper Virgin," "Subservient Chicken." The firm even released a cologne that smells like flame broiled meat.

Unfortunately, you can't delete your whole friends list and eat free. The promotion is limited to one coupon per Facebook account.
