Happiest state in the U.S. discovered
Have you ever wondered which is the best state to live in? A recent survey found that people in Utah live the happiest and healthiest among all the states in the United States.
Together with Utah, Hawaii, Wyoming, Colorado and Minnesota are the top five states -in order - that ranked with the best "well-being" in a survey made by Gallup. Southern states had the lowest well-being ratings, been West Virginia the worse.

The survey made a thousand questions each day to adults aged 18 and older analyzing a total of 350,000 interviews during the entire year 2008.
The Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index is the official statistic for Well-Being in America. It measures people's well-being in a daily basis based on the World Health Organization (WHO) definition of health, as not only the absence of infirmity and disease but also a state of physical, mental and social well-being.
A map below shows the overall well-being in the United States.
