Indianapolis condo completely destroyed by fire
Firefighters were able to contain a large fire burning at a condominium complex that is under-construction just a few blocks north of the Statehouse in downtown Indianapolis Thursday morning.
Three buildings in the Cosmopolitan on the Canal complex, valued at $28 million, were completely destroyed by the fire, Indianapolis Fire Department spokeswoman Rita Reith said.
There are no injuries reported. 125 firefighters were sent to the scene working to bring the fire under control.
The large fire sent smoke billowing across the Indianapolis skyline. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent buildings. The fire broke out about 3:30 a.m.
Investigators are working to find the cause of the fire, that wasn't immediately known.
