The building that replaces the World Trade Center towers, destroyed in the September 11 attacks, will no longer be called the "Freedom Tower," as originally planned.

The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is promoting the place as One World Trade Center, its legal address.

"As we market the building, we will ensure that the building is presented in the best possible way," Port Authority Chairman Anthony Coscia told reporters on Thursday.

The building's first commercial tenant signed Thursday, Vantone Industiral Co Ltd rented several floors for a new China Center.
