Buy domain names via Tweetname on Twitter

comments 0

Great news for Twitter lovers; now you can also buy your domains via the micro-blogging site.

The former CEO of AdBrite, Philip Kaplan, founded Tweetname which makes it easier for clients to register available domain names.

It works by logging into Tweetname  and then the site uses OAuth to connect to your Twitter account. You fill out your credentials, including name, address, credit card info, billing information and then Tweetname will automatically start following you and arranges for you to follow Tweetname.

Once this has been set up, users can "tweet" a domain name to see if it's available by saying "Success!" or if its not, it will say "D'oh".

Domains cost $14.95 and can be registered under .com .net .org .us .name .biz .info.

Below is an instructional video that further explains how it works:
