Rihanna's father blames LAPD for TMZ photo
leak
Photos of battered singer, Rihanna, have
been causing a buzz online today. Her family is very disappointed with how the
case has been treated by the LAPD.
"Sloppy work on their part,"
Ronald Fenty told People magazine.
Sadly enough, the Barbados-born singer turns
21 today. Her dad said he is not sure of their will be anything special
happening to celebrate her birthday given her current battered state.
"There's no party that I know
of," he said.
TMZ.com leaked the first photo of her that
shows how badly hurt she was.
The LAPD issued a statement asking for the
public to help with "information concerning the unauthorized release of
the photograph."
"A violation of this type is
considered serious misconduct, with penalties up to and including
termination," police said.
Her former boyfriend and the culprit in the
beating, Chris Brown, 19, released a statement earlier this week saying he is
"sorry and saddened." Brown was arrested on a felony criminal threat
charge Feb. 8.
