HTC Touch Pro 2 Landing On Verizon With Huge $199.99 Impact

comments 0

No, that doesn't mean that the price is huge. Actually, in comparison it seems pretty low. And considering the amount of people anxiously waiting for the Touch Pro 2 to land, it looks like Verizon has a huge one-up on the competition. And if you're in the range of getting a new contract, or are waiting to get a contract for this phone to launch, then Verizon might have found a way to wiggle into your hearts.

Samsung X120, X420, and X520 With CULV Get Unveiled

comments 0

The announcements just keep coming and coming. It looks like Samsung has gone ahead and introduced a new line up of X-series notebooks, offering up a degree of mobility that Samsung says has a lot to do with that battery life. We'd have to agree. There's not much mobility in having a 3-cell battery in a notebook, when you can only be out and about for a couple hours before you need to be tethered to a wall outlet. Longer battery life means a better user experience as well, and if Samsung has anything to say about, your customer experience is about to get bumped up to another level.

Gateway NV5214u Notebook Review

comments 0

While expensive ultraportables may get the bulk of online attention, the real battle is going on at the budget end of the market, where netbooks, CULV ultra-thins and cheap notebooks are fighting it out for a slice of the lucrative back-to-school audience. Into the fray steps Gateway, no stranger to the segment, and they've brought along their NV5214u, very much the desktop-replacing notebook rather than a slick but underpowered netbook. With an MRSP of $499.99 it certainly ticks the budget box; check out the full SlashGear review after the cut to see if it can tick any others.

Samsung Plans for OLED Laptops by Year-End 2010

comments 0

Samsung is a fan of OLED. We're seeing it more and more in their manufactured phones, and no one is arguing that it's the best way to view anything of any kind of importance. And now it looks like Samsung plans to see OLED in the next best thing: laptops. It's a great idea, and one that we hope to actually bear into fruition. Especially if it hits mainstream, so that way it doesn't hit everyone's wallets too much.

Toshiba U500 Ducati Laptop Gets Pictured and Gawked At

We're sure that Toshiba could announce some more things, but this is getting ridiculous. This time around, we've got a laptop, and one that's sure to attract some onlookers, if for anything else because it's Ducati-branded. Getting a name-brand, on top of the manufacturer's name brand, isn't a new practice, especially for company's hoping they can get an extra buck or two from it. Although, it is nice to see an actual Ducati right next to the laptop. It definitely gives the little piece of tech a more attractive appeal.

Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X2 only got official a couple of days ago, but already there are several people lining up to show you the new Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone.  HDblog managed to acquire one and take it for a pretty comprehensive ride in the ten minute video you can see after the cut, and then Sony Ericsson's staff themselves line up to share their hands-on perspective.
