Photofunia
This one, however, asks you to do next to nothing except choose your photo(s). Photofunia is a collection of over 150 photo templates that will drop your pics into everything from billboards to art galleries to magazines. It also uses facical recognition to automatically turn you into people such as a zombie, a bodybuilder, and a Carnival dancer, among others.

AC-130
If you've ever played that Call of Duty mission where one guy is on the ground getting his ass torn to shreds while a friend, most likely a girl who's afraid to get shot at, controls the flying gun in the sky, then you know what I'm talking about. But let me reiterate: AC-130 isn't bad for what it is, and for the low, low price of zero it's worth checking out if your lifelong dream is to rain death from above.

Prize Claw Halloween
If your kid is into those prize claw machines that never spit out actual prizes, get this app and tell Junior to shut his hole.
Ok that's a little mean, don't do that! But do try to amuse him/her/it with this app because (a) this prize claw rarely drops anything, (b) it's free, and (c) it's very Halloween-themed which I hear children are really into this time of year.

Shoot the Birds
So yeah, this game is all about shooting as many birds out of the sky as you can before the sun goes down. Some birds are worth more points than others, and you can score combos by skewering several at a time which is oddly satisfying.

IAR needs writers!
If you're interested in getting free iPhone and iPad apps and then writing 2-3 short paragraphs about them, join IAR's review team! Sorry, this isn't a paying gig so the ideal candidates are people who simply enjoy writing and trying out new apps.
What are you waiting for? Apply to be a writer!

Troll Blaster
If you like Angry Birds then, at the very least, you'llkind of like Troll Blaster. Is this app as good as the Birds? Not really. But it does do some things right and if you're all bummed out 'cuz you played through every Angry Birds level in existence then blasting some trolls might cheer you up.

Mr. Fang
I'm sure the goals change as you progress through the levels, but to be honest I've only made it to level 12 so far because that's just how bad I suck at this game! If you've already killed off most of your brain cells like I have, hitting the requisite number of combos is really hard because your combo count keeps resetting to zero when you screw up, and I tend to screw up a lot.

Siri is funny
We all knew it wouldn't take long for the goofy Siri videos to start popping up on YouTube! Most of them cover the same key phrases that produce funny or surprising responses. I'd love to test these out myself but of course I'm stuck with my grossly outdated iPhone 4 for another year. :/

BuddyTV Guide
BuddyTV has features that I'll probably never use... Netflix integration and the ability to use the app as a remote control as well... but that's just because I don't have a Netflix subscription and my DVR is 6,500 miles away. Even without these features there's still plenty o' stuff that will make my TV time more fun and less aggravating. There's a Watch List for keeping tabs on my favorite shows, a Favorite Channel list that means I no longer have to sift through channels I don't get or just don't give a crap about, and Genre filters that only display certain types of shows. BuddyTV also suggests shows that are on right now (or very soon) and it even offers to add Watch List items to your calendar so you never miss out on anything.
