Sky Burger
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
If you've never heard of Sky Burger then you probably just got your iPhone or iPad like 10 minutes ago! I remember seeing Sky Burger in the App Store's Top 25 list a while ago, and for a long time this was my toilet game of choice. Sorry, was that Too Much Information? Hey man, everybody poops! And Sky Burger, being the poster child for "casual gaming", is a great little time waster whether you're sitting in a waiting room or squeezing one off on the throne.

NoteMaster
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I had NoteMaster on my iPhone for a long time before I ever found a use for it. I'm not a big note-taker, but when I decided to start a small business last year I found myself using NoteMaster all the time! The crappy default Notes app that comes bundled with iOS is fine for jotting down an occasional address or whatever, but when you need to keep information organized NoteMaster is definitely the way to go.
It lets you add photos to notes, it syncs with Google docs, it does several different kinds of lists, it lets you categorize notes... it really does it all.

Light Her Fire
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I'm gonna level with y'all... I'm only reviewing this app because the screenshots looked funny! And they didn't disappoint.
Light Her Fire is a Do-and-Don't guide for would-be lotharios everywhere! The "Do" suggestions seem valid but they kind of have the stench of a guy who's so whipped he'd fry his own nuggets in hot oil if the Mrs. demanded it. And the "Don't" suggestions... comedy gold!

MagikUniverse
Available on iPhone & iPod Touch
"Magic 8 Ball" apps are as old as... well, they're as old as the App Store. Ask an inane question, shake or tap, and get a prophetic answer that the cosmos prays you won't take seriously.
So if it's that dumb and that simple, why bother giving MagikUniverse a try? Geez, I dunno... I guess I'm just a sucker for bright shiny objects.

Capture Them
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
This attractive "cowboy" motif is very well done, graphically. Playing the game is both simple and challenging. There are 80 different 'set ups' where you, the Sheriff, can corral the bandits — sometimes one, sometimes several — and pull them/push them into 'jail.'

Top 25 Free: Hardest Game Ever – 0.02s
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
Hardest Game Ever - 0.02s is currently #1 in the Top 25 Free section in the App Store
Top 25 is a new thing we're doing here at IAR! We generally like to review apps that fall well outside the App Store's Top 25 'cuz, let's face it, apps that have reached "Top" status don't need IAR's help getting noticed. But are they any good?

Angry Tank
Available on iPhone only
I occasionally seek out apps that look kind of rough because you never know... sometimes they're surprisingly fun! Angry Tank is definitely rough around the edges, but the only thing that's surprising about it is the concept.
You're controlling a tank in this game that's constantly getting bombarded by bombs dropped from aircraft flying overhead. Bombs are bad for tanks, right? Wrong! In Angry Tank, bombs make your tank fly. Uhh, ok. So once you're in the air... you use your tank's cannon to shoot stuff, right? Wrong again! You use arrow buttons to make your magic flying tank wipe out enemies by colliding with them.

Rage of Witches
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I was in the mood to try something totally brainless... and I found it! Frankly I should have reviewed this app a week ago when witches and zombies were still in season, but since Nob Studio submitted this app on November 3rd that didn't happen. Eh oh well.
So how do you play this game? Tap until your finger goes numb! The idea is to protect the poor peasants from all the scary weirdos that keep popping up out of nowhere. Zombies, witches, skeletons, ghosts, it's kind of like Halloween is projectile vomiting all over the peasants you're charged with guarding.

PowerGRID
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I don't like puzzle games. They frustrate me, and then I get bored. In the mean time, I suffer a brutal strike to my ego. That didn't happen with PowerGRID. Instead, I got hooked in by the buzzing electrical noises and just how...easy it was to succeed. It's a challenging game, but it's not a game that you need to be terribly smart for. You have to be fast, and you have to be willing to progress through trial and error, but if that's something you can do, you'll probably love this game as much as I do.
