Turtle World
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
This game is hella cute. Plus, it's really simple, well calibrated and has great art. I hadn't heard of PlaySnack until they requested a review, but if all of their games are this polished and put together, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend everything they make. It's not often that I'm able to find an app I can give five stars to because I'm usually able to think of something they can improve on. I can't with this one. It's a simple game that's challenging for both children and adults, it's got a great soundtrack that doesn't get annoying and it makes good use of the iPhone's tilting capabilities.

Tap Forms HD
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I like being organised (borderline OCD some might say) and I use a variety of apps to help me achieve this. In my view, a database creating app should be part of any organised persons arsenal and so I've been extensively using Tap Forms to manage and store my information both at home and at work.

Pocket Signs
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
For some strange reason - probably because I'm a geek and a safety nut - I really wanted to try this app. And I wanted to like it. In retrospect, I'm not entirely sure what I expected an app full of safety signs to do. I'm not sure I am any farther ahead with that question now that I've actually tried it.

Let’s Golf! 3
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I'd give this game 5/5 stars if it wasn't for that damn wait-or-pay thing that game developers like to do these days. As a golf game, Let's Golf! 3 rules. I mean really, what else would you expect from Gameloft? Those guys rake in mountains of App Store cash for a reason!
And if you've ever played Hot Shots Golf on Playstation then you already know how to swing because the action is exactly the same: tap to start your swing, tap again to determine stroke power, tap a third time for accuracy. For the uninitiated this may sound complicated, but it's super easy after you do it a couple times and putting only takes two taps.

Mad Rush
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
There's something pretty funny about launching a shrieking rabbit into the air! I've never done it in real life, but that's pretty much what happens in every level of Mad Rush.
Mad Rush is a goofy little racing game where your rabbit hero, Noop, has to beat alien opponents to the top of an airborne obstacle course. In DieHard and Slalom races you gain acceleration by eating bugs of various colors, and in Nitro races you simply have to keep Noop in line with a path of upward-pointed arrows.

Inventory
Available on iPhone & iPod Touch
Before downloading any app I like to take a look at the reviews already associated with it. In this case the reviews I found were fairly poor. Normally this would put me off downloading the app, but instead I decided to go for it anyway, and I am glad that I did, because when I downloaded it and first played around with it I was pleasantly surprised.

Bring Me Sandwiches!!
Adult Swim's latest iOS entry is the descriptively named platformer, Bring Me Sandwiches!! No, the game is not about your mom, but instead revolves around our unlikely hero, Jimmy Nugget. Jimmy is a socially challenged, zit-popping teenager who works at the local fast food restaurant. On one unassuming afternoon his town was suddenly invaded by aliens with a peculiar proclivity towards sandwiches. You see, although Gourmo is a disproportionately large alien (most likely caused by a completely natural genetically induced hormonal imbalance), he will only consume sandwiches. The good news is that he is not too picky about what type of sandwich it is, be it a bicycle/rat/Pine Tree sandwich or a pepper/cheese/beach ball sandwich.

Zen Shift
This is one of those nice relaxing puzzle games that we like when we are satin a coffee shop, or waiting for public transport. The aim is fairly simple, but it certainly isn't as simple tofinish some of the levels. I got as far as level 40 and got stuck (there is over 100 levels....) Through the game there is special new blocks that are introduced (around one per twenty levels) that provide a good twist, otherwise I think you would get easily bored.

PixelWorld #1
Available on iPhone & iPod Touch
Dear comic book nerds: if you pride yourselves on knowing everything about every superhero and comic book character known to man, get this app and put your money where your mouth is! Ok, there's no money involved because the app is free, but this is a really tough comic quiz. It tests your knowledge of characters from comic book lore with big, blocky pixelated renderings and you have to fill in the blanks.

ChaCha
Available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad
I remember playing with an app like this a long time ago... it offered a few free answers provided by human reps and then you had to pay to ask their "experts" anything else. Thankfully ChaCha isn't that app! But it is basically the same service: ask a question, get an answer from a real person.
ChaCha does require registration after your "trial period" expires (not sure if it's based on time or number of questions asked), but it's free to register and it's free to get answers to all the stupid questions you can come up with.
