Katie Couric talks with CBS amid reports of her leaving

Katie Couric's "CBS Evening News" contract set to expire in early June, the News anchor is considering to launch a syndicated talk show.
Several companies are vying the 54-year-old anchor for her services. She became the first female solo anchor of a weekday network evening news broadcast in 2006.
A departure date has not been set for Couric.
"We're having onging discussions with Kait Couric," said CBS News spokeswoman Sonya McNair in a statement. "We have no announcements to make this time. Until we do, we will continue to decline comment on rumor or speculation," the statement said.
It seems the discussion for replacing Couris is already under way on the evening newscast.
