Bobbi Kristina Brown’s aunt, Leolah Brown, penned a cryptic Facebook post just a day before her niece died. The daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston passed away on Sunday after fighting for her life since she was hospitalized in January.

“Today (2015) is a day that we fight ...and fight hard...by any means necessary...For, we are obliged...and it is ordained by God Himself,” Leolah wrote on her Facebook page on Saturday.

On Sunday, the Houston family released a statement announcing Bobbi Kristina’s death. The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office reportedly confirmed the news Sunday night.

"It is hard to say goodbye. On Sunday, July 26, Bobbi Kristina Brown made her transition peacefully," a message on Whitney Houston’s Facebook page read. "The family thanks everyone for their loving thoughts and prayers. As Bobbi Kristina would say: 'The wind is behind me and the sun is in my face.'"

The aspiring actress was surrounded by her family when she died at a hospice care facility where she was moved in mid-June after she showed no improvement despite being provided medical care at several facilities. She was reportedly taken off her medications so she could die “peacefully.”

A source told People magazine that Bobby Brown knew that his daughter's death was coming. "He is holding it together more than you'd expect," the source said, according to People magazine. "He knew it was coming. Of course he's very emotional, but at the same time, he knows that Krissy is in a better place now.

"He is taking comfort in the fact that she's with her mother, and that there will be no more sadness or pain. She is at peace. He knows that, and is taking comfort in that," the source reportedly added.

Last week, Bobbi Kristina's aunt and co-legal guardian, Pat Houston, cleaned the 22-year-old’s Atlanta home, which she shared with her boyfriend Nick Gordon. Bobbi Kristina was found unresponsive in a bathtub at the house on Jan. 31. A criminal investigation is underway in the case and her family has filed a lawsuit against Gordon, accusing him of abusing his girlfriend and stealing her money.

Gordon, who was not allowed to visit his girlfriend during the nearly six months that she was under medical care, feels that Bobbi Kristina may have responded had she heard his voice, Hollywood Life reported late Sunday, citing sources. “Nick is on suicide watch. He is out of control with regret and sadness. He keeps saying that if only (Bobbi Kristina) had heard his voice, things would have been different. She may have lived,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Gordon was not allowed to see his girlfriend and Bobby Brown has claimed that Gordon has not revealed everything about the night when Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious. Recently, a police source reportedly said that authorities believe a possible motive for murder could be Gordon's fear of being dumped.
