Bobby Brown was arrested and accused of driving under the influence on Monday, according to gossip website TMZ.

Bobby Brown was pulled over in L.A. at 12:20 p.m. Pacific Standard time on Monday, TMZ reported, allegedly for talking on his cell phone while driving.

The singer and ex-husband of late singer Whitney Houston was arrested and is currently being held at Van Nuys Jail, according to TMZ, and if he is convicted of DUI, it will be his second such conviction after one in Georgia in 1996, in which he pleaded guilty to DUI and spent 8 days in jail.

The law enforcement sources TMZ spoke with did not reveal whether or not Bobby Brown appeared to be drunk or what substance they think the singer was on when he was arrested.

According to Gossip Cop, however, the singer blew a 0.12 BAC, putting him well over the legal Blood Alcohol Content limit.
