Arkansas football employee Jessica Dorrell has been placed on paid administrative leave but the university, according to The Associated Press. University spokesperson Steve Voorhies confirmed Dorrell's leave Friday morning.
Athletic director Jeff Long placed Bobby Petrino on paid administrative leave last week when it was discovered that he had not been forthcoming about Dorrell's presence during a motorcycle accident on April 1. Long then fired Petrino earlier this week.
Long said that Petrino had an inappropriate relationship with the 25-year-old Dorrell, phone records showing that the two exchanged more than 4,300 text messages and nearly 300 phone calls over the past seven months. Additionally, Petrino gave Dorrell an unfair and undisclosed advantage for a position on... [the] football staff, considered a conflict of interest, as well as $20,000.
Dorrell, a former standout volleyball player at Arkansas, was a Razorback Foundation fundraiser before Petrino hired her as the football team's student-athlete development coordinator on March 28.
Dorrell's profile is still listed on Arkansas' athletic department website.
