BOCOM International, a unit of China's fifth-largest lender Bank of Communications Co Ltd, aims to raise 5 billion yuan ($758.5 million) through a yuan fund to invest in Chinese companies.

Singapore's Kheng Leong Group, which controls United Overseas Bank Ltd (UOBH.SI), planned to invest $100 million in the fund, BOCOM International said in a statement on Tuesday.

BOCOM International is the overseas flagship of Bank of Communications' investment banking, asset management and securities operations. ($1=6.592 Yuan)
