BofA holds loans $44 billion above market value: report
Bank of America is holding on to loans which are marked $44 billion above market value, Reuters reported citing a securities filing.
The bank said it had $886.2 billion in loans at the end of 2008, according to Reuters. Citi estimates that the market price for the loans is $841.6 billion.
A spokesperson told Reuters that the bank intends to hold those loans to maturity, adding that they are not for sale.
