RTTNews - The Bank of Japan is scheduled to release the minutes from the monetary policy meeting of April 30, headlining Wednesday's Asian economic news. Also, BoJ Governor Masaaki Shirakawa will deliver the opening speech at the 2009 International Conference of the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies in Tokyo.

Finally, the Ministry of Finance will provide April numbers for its merchandise trade balance, which saw a surplus of 10.3 billion yen in March.
