She knows he's hurting because of the relationships he may now lose because of the crime he committed. Eager to help him get his life back on track, Steffy will go to both Brooke and Liam and once again plead on Bill's behalf on the Wednesday, Sept. 20 episode of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Since Liam (Scott Clifton) blackmailed his father about the Spectra fire and used the information to oust him from Spencer so he could take over, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has been running interference on the CBS soap, hopeful she can repair her husband's relationship with Bill (Don Diamont) before it's too late. So far, her attempts at getting to Liam to compromise have all fallen flat, but after seeing Bill's devastation once again, she will find herself trying to convince her husband yet again that he needs to work things out with his father.

Unfortunately, her effort will once again not work out, as Liam will insist that a compromise can't happen because Bill would use it to once again suit his own interests.

"I don't like what I'm doing to my father, but there is no compromising here," he says inn a preview clip. "If I let him in a crack, he takes over."

Steffy will be disheartened that Liam still refuses to give Bill another chance, though he has reasons to refuse doing so. Not only is he angry that his father went the illegal route by ordering the fire at Spectra solely so he could take over the property and build his skyscraper, but he's also hurting over the fact that Bill punched him in the face after signing his leave of absence form.

Realizing her husband may be a lost cause for now, Steffy will then decide to tackle the other relationship Bill is at risk of losing because of his actions—the one with his wife, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang).

After learning that Bill ordered the fire and punched his son, Brooke was horrified by the news and left their home. She has since told Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that she doesn't think she can go back to the house and be with Bill again, though she is still unsure if she is going to end the marriage.

Now, Steffy will go to Brooke to see how she is and where her head is at. When Brooke admits she just isn't sure she can forgive these actions, Steffy will immediately try to convince Brooke she should, because she knows Bill is hurting and doesn't want to see their marriage suffer because of his poor lapse of judgement.

When Brooke continues to hesitate however, Steffy will become more blunt, telling the other woman that she shouldn't leave her husband at any cost.

"Bill loves you," she says in the clip. "Don't leave him."

Brooke will of course be left wondering what has Steffy so invested in her marriage, but she won't likely listen to her and choose to forgive Bill anytime soon.

"The Bold and the Beautiful" airs weekdays at 1:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
