A suspicious package was spotted early Friday at Oprah Winfrey's television studio Harpo Productions Inc. but did not explode, the Chicago Sun Times reported.

The package - a dark-colored backpack with wires hanging out of it - was found in a flowerbed at 6:20 a.m. outside the studio by a security guard, said JoAnn Taylor, a police News Affairs Officer, according to a report

The item did not explode and no one was hurt, the Sun Times noted Friday.

The police Bomb & Arson Unit was sent to the location but there were no further detail, according to the report.

The studio didn't have to be evacuated, the Times said. The officer did not immediately know if the package was had the capacity to explode, according to the report.
